Louis Oconnor
Founder of Repairboom.com and Tenantknowledge.comFrom his English roots to the sunny shores of Santa Barbara, which he’s called home since 2009, Louis OConnor’s journey has been fueled by a genuine desire to fix things – whether it’s a leaky pipe or an unfair situation. His early passion for problem-solving naturally led him to the world of plumbing at 17, a trade where tangible solutions make a real difference. Now, 15 years of hands-on experience have culminated in his role as a Housing Maintenance Director, where he expertly leads a team of skilled tradesmen in servicing over 2000 rental units across the region.
But Louis’s dedication goes beyond pipes and fixtures. Perhaps inspired by a lifelong love for the heroes found within the pages of his beloved comic books, he carries a deep-seated belief in looking out for the “little guy.” Just as his favorite characters champion the underdog, Louis is driven to ensure renters have a fair and comfortable living experience. This inherent sense of justice fuels his commitment to providing reliable maintenance and, through RepairBoom and Tenant Knowledge, empowering tenants with the knowledge they need to navigate the complexities of renting. Beyond his professional endeavors, Louis embraces his most cherished role as a Superdad, bringing the same dedication, problem-solving skills, and caring nature to his family life. He’s not just fixing homes; he’s building a better foundation for his community and his loved ones.
